I can tell you that the guy in that video has teeth like a Louisiana fence row.

Cory Murchy from Minus The Bear uses this and it has been with him for a few years now.
A lot of his signal is clean on recordings, but live, it sneaks in there.

I don't know much about the pedal other than what I've read, but if you listen to any MTB, the OD'd stuff is mostly the Greedtone.

Yeah, but how do they smell? This internet thing, it's not so fancy.

Cool, I'll check them out. Seen the name 50 times, it's about time I listen I suppose.

You gotta hope you like the EQ of the overdrive when there is no tone control. Also at 300 bucks your almost on your way to buying another Blueberry.

Oh I won't be buying one, if I was spending that kind of coin yes, I'd be going toward the BJFE direction. Some dude on TGP has offered one in trade for my Dark Peppermint.

My guess: it's anything-core that is laughably lame.

I'm actually surprised that lolcore as terminolgy hasn't caught on. I first read that on ultimatemetal.com some 5 years ago. Bongo's description is pretty accurate.

I sort of liked what I heard of Minus The Bear, it just wasn't what I expected. For some reason I had them lumped into the Neurisican band camp for whatever reason. Another OGUM term that never spread to them asses. Hmm.

This an enlightening thread.

Nad your choice of terminology is like a pedal that replaces 'gain' with 'badass'. You should come with an instruction manual though.

I try to make my threads less about the pedal, more about life. Usually I succeed, and there was much rejoicing.

I'm tempted to sig that second bit, but I might feel it too vain of my person to bear such self-witness whilst residing in this here bass-based e-world. Perhaps.

Fantastic pedal. I've owned two. The first one was stolen. Very expressive, responds well to playing dynamics. For bass, I leave it on the low gain setting, with the gain knob around 3ish for a really good distortion, around noon for lighter drive. It has a TON of volume, I don't think I go above 8, maybe 9 for unity volume with my jazz/DJ5.

This is the first time I heard one live, from a MTB show, I was practically sitting on Cory's monitor so I got a good look at the board. A fairly good example of his use is at about 1:40 he clicks it on. I think he uses the less gain setting as well, pick and a P bass. This show he was playing a mesa 400+ and mesa 2x15 cabs? Or maybe they were 8x10 cabs. I can't recall. I think most of the sound is coming from the amp, very small venue and whenever I've played there the monitoring situation blew for bass.

Let me know if the video link doesn't work, I'll try something else.

I played a guitar through one of these in a local guitar shop. It was the best overdrive I've ever heard, for guitar. It was full, loud, and clear. It really sung, let me tell you.

I'll have to try a bass through it sometime soon.

i just got mine today. i think that it's the best OD pedal that i've tried to date (and i've tried quite a few, but not all of them). i opened it up to look inside and there's not much in there. just really small pcb with a 16 pin socketed chip with a few resistors and capacitors, a couple of leds, two pots and two switches. the chip has it's model# sanded off (since it's gotta be a trade secret). if you looked inside one you might seriously wonder why they're $300 but i gotta say, whatever they did, they did it right. it's an awesome pedal and sounds HUGE.

It would be interesting to see a gut shot, to see if I could figure out how the circuit works .
