Prices have shot up this year, probably as the black Russian was discontinued recently too. I've seen em go for £180 over here which is about $280... $300 is pushing it but if somebody buys it from him then he's priced it right!

I bought mine for about 30$ 10 years ago, and it was considered the crappy version. funny how things change.

there have been a few go in the classifieds for that much.

I just bought a kit to clone one.

I've seen several for sale for that much over the last two months.

And they're still for sale for that much.

I think they're wildly overpriced. The guts are virtually identical to most of the other older muffs. I think it's the giant green box and kitsch value that's driving them up.

Spokansas? I've never heard that one. I hear Spocompton, Spoklahoma, and Spokanistan usually.

As to the Big Muff, $300 seems crazy high for that one. I used to have one (still might have it somewhere at my dad's house) and I think I paid about $100 for it. Maybe the one for sale comes equipped with some über-mojo or something.
