gritty overdrive

im looking for an OD that ads a lot of grit, but not as much fuzz as most of the pedals out there.

any ideas

Fulltone Bass-Drive Mosfet Comp Cut mode. HBE Hematoma. EBS MultiDrive. That's just a few, there's really a ton out there.

I'm not gonna throw random pedals at you but I do suggest searching overdrive, seeing what pedals are at all interesting to you and then going to the talkbass wiki and looking at the effects clips section and find one that has a sound you're looking for.

I know one I really like for low low grit is the Fulltone OCD. It has a switch on it that goesf rom high power to low power so you can get even less grit, almost not noticable.

thanks for the tips on the fulltones, i've heard good things about them, i've just never used one because the only place that carries them is an hour drive from my place.
