Groove regulator issue

Sign in to disble this ad
So I bought a Groove Regulator a few days ago. As far as sound is concerned, it's awesome. It's not quite as wet as I was hoping it would be, but it adds a really funky dimension anyways. However, I've had a few, what appear to be, quality issues. When I first got it in the mail, it wouldn't work at all. Spencer (great to deal with, by the way) thought it was a stomp switch issue since it wasn't even passing a signal when the switch was hit. I sent it back, he replaced the internals. Now, it has the same issue of not passing the signal when the switch is on. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a quick fix for it so I don't have it send it across the country again?

Does the LED light up when you press the switch?

Yes it does. But it's very faint compared to when it was functioning right.

A power system issue, perhaps? I ran into a similar problem with a few other pedals and it turned out to be an adapter that got ganked.

Spencer will make it right but I believe he is on vacation for the next few weeks. He mentioned to me he would be away until August after he performed some mods to my GR last week.

@The Lurker, I thought about that. But I have the same issue regardless of whether I'm using the DC adapter or on 9v.

Old thread, but any resolution on this? I have the same issue with the GR that I just got off of the classifieds: turns on and passes a signal, but no effect.
