Question Grunge-Board?

Hi guys, Ive been posting alot lately about pedals to consider buying for my band for a grunge sound but with more edge.

So far, This is my Idea

From Bass to Amp order:

Jim Dunlop Crybaby Wah >
MXR dyna-comp Compression >
Boss ODB-3 Bass Overdrive >
MXR Carbon Copy Delay Pedal >
Hartke VXL Bass attack and pre-amp pedal >
KORG PitchBlack Tuner

I realise that the ODB-3 isnt nessicary with a Hartke, but I want to shape the sound more with it. Saving the ODB-3 for some seriously high-gain overdrive (which sounds awesome by the way)

But what im wondering if im missing something, The compression pedal Ideally should be the MXR one designed specifically for bass, but sadly I dont own that

Im also wondering if a chorus pedal would add to the overall sound.

Any help on the matter is greatly appricated

The Hartke Bass Attack VXL is a super awesome pedal. Have had mine for years and played in a grunge band and that pedal worked amazingly. It works great for all styles really. A must in my opinion for all bassist who love great tone flexibility. I run a few different clipping style pedals, including the ODB3, with it and it adds a little more umph that is perfect for grungier stuff.

All in all the Hartke in my opinion is very underrated and a huge part of my rig. I can not express how much I love it. Make sure to get the 2nd version though. Heard the 1st editions had problems with the jacks breaking.

Grunge bass = Russian Big Muff or Modded Rat, optional tuner. THE END.
