Yeah, I got a little big from my britches trying three sides for my first etch. I think it worked out ok with my industrial gear theme. Oh, and I probably should have sanded longer.

Sehr schön!

What's next? You should highlight the etched areas with paint to make 'em come out more.

super cool. are you going to paint or no? filling the negative space with paint could be really cool, although I like it how it is.

Cool! With practice, you can get some slick etching work.

I really dig it... that industrial look is great!

I'd love to do some stuff like that, but my soldering skills leave a little to be desired. Tried a BYOC envelope filter, it... half worked. lol

LOL. D@mn, that's funny... now I don't feel QUITE so bad.

I didn't etch mine, I got this cool laser label paper... painted the case white, had these funky disco silhouette graphics with stars and such... and two of the controls didn't quite work.

How did you do that etching? I'm familiar with glass etching, but not sandpaper on metal...

Oh see, now you're just being mean. For a second there, I actually felt okay about my first pedal build not quite working... lol

Thanks for the tutorial link! Maybe I'll have to go back and take a look at that envelope and see if maybe I can actually get it to work.

What do you do with the leftover etchant when you're done? That's what keeps me from trying this.... don't know how to dispose of the chemicals.
