Hello, and welcome to my first post.
I've done my preliminary search and found no true comparison of these two boards.
I started playing pro around '86 and I just returned after a 15 year hiatus.
Since ART is no longer in business, I am looking for another hi-end pedal board.
I have narrowed it down to the GT10-B and the B9.1ut. I'm looking for a Sheehanesque tone from around the DLR days and the first Mr. Big album when he was still using modulations and delay. I like the concept of shelving that the GT10-B has so that I can keep all the effects on the top end but the B9.1ut actually has a Billy Sheehan setting.
Unfortunately in the small town of Scranton, nobody has either of these in stock so I can compare them myself.
My axe is a G&L SB-1 w/maple neck and the pedalboard signal will go direct to the board with a 210 Hydrive for a monitor.
Thanks in advance.

I would recommend, before anything, using the search function at the top right-hand corner of this forum (that assumes you haven't already, of course )
Once you have done that, the only way you can really, truly know for yourself is to see if your local music store has one of them, and try it out for yourself. If they don't stock them, the next best thing to do is to find the owner's manual online and to watch as many videos, listen to as many soundclips, and read as many reviews as you can. After you do that, you can hopefully come away with some idea as to which board will do more of what you like.
Hope that helps,
-Sean
[Edit: First, I didn't see that you've already checked your local stores. Second, here is some info on the boards in question:

Checked the .pdf files at the manufacturers sites and the most info I have found is, gee, they got great looping, synth, and slap sounds. Nothing specifically geared toward the sound I'm looking for.
Well, since I just picked up a Boss OC-3 nib at a pawn shop for $75 (only need it for one song - Weezer's Beverly Hills), and I already have a CEB-3, looks like this time around I'll build a pedal board.
Now I have to brush up on my soldering skills for true bypass!
Thanks,
-Todd |

as far as comparing to a boss i can't help except my past experience with boss multis on guitar leave me uninspired. not a blanket anti-boss statement - just haven't played anything of theirs in a multi form that i approve of. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
