I have the Gt10B, has 5-7 preamps and allows the use of multiple effects simultaneously (not that I use a whole lot with my band, but I have plenty for experimental purposes and to toy with in my spare time). Looper is awesome for private practice or just getting experimental.

Some effects are so so; such as the wah, synths. Overall, I'm happy with it and its features compared to other units I checked out.

Definitely must spend a couple hours with the manual to learn how to operate this. I still have to reference the manual every now n' again to learn how to move patches around or cut/paste. And that's just 'cause I have a standard tone for regular use and haven't been foolin' around with other effects much. Good thing is that the manual is easy to follow despite what you'll read on reviews on the net.

Bottomline...shop around and see what suits your needs.

The line 6 processors would be a choice for recording in my opinion. if you want something for live, go with the boss processors. if you like another choice for a multi-effects processor, check out zoom processors. it suitable for recording and live performances. I have sound samples of the zoom b2.1u if you're wondering how the zoom processors sound. here's the link.

Feel free to check it out.
