first one sounds way better.. more bottom, nastier top end.. a lot of fuzz like qualities.

the second one sounds like you recorded a bootleg of someone using the first pedal.. same thing without the balls..

Ok. I think I got em now. The first clip sounded a little nasally and spastic, and a lot of fret/nuting string noise. The second sounded much bassier and fuzzier.

that's far too broad -you can't miss with a cleverly devised catchall like that!
