So I had the maker of Pigtronix effects come in today to purchase a Peterson Strobe tuner from me. He's using it for his new synth. I wonder if you guys saw it yet or I'm just bringing back old news...
Howard was a nice guy too. He said he'll be doing a video/audio clips when he got back home.
If it was a little cheaper than 600$, my EHX BMS would have to worry :x http://pigtronix.com/products08/mothership.html |

- Voiced for guitar
- Too Expensive
- Not as exciting as the Chunk System's synth.

That, and something bout a "Fathership" (stupid name) for bass? As far as teh guy telling chron it works for bass... Pedal-company-owners are about as worthless for gear advice as GC employees! |

I do plan to review the Pig ADSR at some point though.
And I hope nobody thinks I think I'm such a big deal as all that. |

He posts here as (I believe) JohnDavisNYC and is very knowledgeable about recreating synth sounds with a bass and pedals and live electronica.
If the person that came in said they were the maker of Pigtronix pedals then it was either Howard "Mick" Davis (which is what is sounds like) or David Koltai, the company owner. As far as I know, those are the two that are responsible for the design of all the Pigtronix stuff.
If it was Howard Davis, he'd be an interesting guy to talk to. As I understand it he was the head of EHX's pedal designs during the late 70's. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
