guitar fetish pedals

Sign in to disble this ad
i was browsing around guitar fetish today when i noticed that they had updated their site with a newly introduced line of stompboxes. I have ordered some stuff from them in the past, and their guitar hardware was of surprisingly decent quality. likewise, i am very intrigued with these pedals, particularly the tube overdrive.

Anyone have any experience with these? thoughts?

Hmm... They look pretty similar to those Korean "Mars" pedals. And there is a lot to groan about in their ad copy:

"Unlike many tube pedals we do not use the tube as a buffer or as a "soak" to give the solid state sounds some feel- we use it as a preamp tube- so you get the real live tube crunch."

"the Pro Chorus gives you that smooth, pulsing analog chorus sound with a music and very syrupy sine wave chorus."

"This is not a typical digital compressor that "pumps" as it amps up your soud"

"Compared to a modern digital delay pedal the digital circuitry in the Pro Delay is far warmer and richer and more musical- Each repeat is burnished with a bit of "dirt" to fatten up the sound. It really delivers the "Pure Analog" sound."

Each of those quotes merits "one solid dope-slap" from me.

sketchy jargon aside, they're cheap as hell, have nice looking metal enclosures, true bypass, and half-decent sound clips

seems to be worth a look

They are rebranded "Biyang" pedals, so whatever reviews you find of those will apply here, too.

For those who don't know what a PT2399 is, don't fall for their misleading copy - the Pro Delay Classic is not an analog delay. They cleverly never say it is, just that it delivers "pure analog sound".

actually just got my GFS tuner pedal today... It's small, quick, and really stripped down to just the basics (one simple metering mode instead of multiple light show options)

what else...Claimed Accuracy is within +/- 1 cent, it's true bypass, the display is huge and the LED is hella-bright.
... and it's DIRT CHEAP cost compared to anything else out there that manages to hit even 3 out of those 5 or so positive points.

I bought this instead of a Turbo Tuner (which I really wanted bad) and I'm glad I did because now I can spend that money on a SD Quarter Pounder and a setup for the SX.

I have a GFS tuner, and I'm glad I didn't buy the PitchBlack. It doesn't get much simpler.

Thanks for the thread fellas. I just bought a tuner! If the switch goes on it, replacements can be had cheap from China on ebay. You just have to be able to soldier.

I also picked up a heavier bridge and a new pickgaurd for my Mexican Jazz bass.

Thanks again!
