guitar fuzz

just received a mxr 108 guitar fuzz as as a gift and i tried it on my bass. It sounded decent when i played around with it. should i spend christmas money on a big muff pi bass fuzz or just use the mxr guitar fuzz.

If it sounds good to you, then use it. But for pete's sake don't buy any pedal just because it has (or doesn't have) the word "bass" printed on it. In every case, search on the specific pedal here in the forum, to read people's opinions on it.

I know what you man, but i was just wondering if a bass fuzz would be a lot different then this pedal

The (lack of) amount of bass respons can be a problem with these pedals. Just try and hear.

The full band will tell you if it is good or not. You may not notice the low end loss till you play with a full band.
