Will it have any affect? just wondering because the cry baby is cheaper than the bass cry baby? so will it affect anything in a negative way. Thanks.

It will never hurt any of your equipment. Sometimes it might not sound as good but your stuff will be fine.

Go for it. My favorite bass overdrive is the Boss super ovedrive, which is technically a guitar pedal.

I was half kidding- they don’t usually just slap the word bass on an effect and charge you more… will it effect it in a negative way? No. But effects advertised for bass will might effect your tone in a positive way- because they were designed/engineered for bass frequencies. Like stated above- trust your ears, use what you like, hopefully you don’t have expensive taste…

Oh, I get to be the first...yippy...
A bass played into guitar pedals will destroy the space-time continuum. Very Dangerous.

p.s. the search function will show you many answers to question such as this.
