Question Guns N' Roses

Hi all

Can anyone please tell what effect the bassist in guns n' roses is using in the intro of sweet child of mine? :P

I don't hear any. It's probably compressed slightly. If you can't hit that tone, a touch of chorus might, but you'd have to be judicious about it.

He used a yamaha rack-mounted chorus back in the guns n roses days, cant buy the exact model anymore but you can buy things that sound similar.
