In my quest for a reasonably priced alternative to a Boss SG-1 Slow Gear, I came across this http://guyatone.com/Svm5.php
I use the slow gear on a GT-6B for violin-like lines and for an ominous, cool effect with a synth generator. Since I'm building a new pedalboard, I want a stand-alone pedal and I'm not about to drop $400 - $500 for a Slow Gear pedal.
Does anyone have any experience with this pedal (frequency cuts/boost, poor tracking, anything)?
I hate the looks of it, but it seems this is the answer I've been looking for.

I've had it for awhile, and it tracks better than the normal micro version, but it takes awhile to tweak to taste.
