h+h clockwork concubine

Sign in to disble this ad
hi fellas

i recently acquired an old h+h clockwork concubine flanger pedal.. bit of an odd thing really, i believe it was made solely to be used with h+h amps.. connections (i presume maybe some kind of send and return??) are 7 pin DIN (remember these??)
im wondering if i could have it modded so`s i can use it?? im clueless in this area and was wondering if any of you kind folks had any suggestions??
heres a link to the schematic:

any thoughts / comments would be much appreciated

Wouldn't be hard to mod it to have regular input and output jacks, but I think you'd need to work out a new power supply, since I'm guessing the amp supplied the pedal with 120v AC power. That's not a trivial mod.

This looks pretty similar to an Electric Mistress (no surprise based on the name), so getting one of those might be an easier route to take for the sound. I know, you already have the thing, and you'd rather make it work. The power supply deal is just not a simple thing to solve; you either need to have an AC mains cord with a transformer inside the unit, or you'd need to design a charge pump setup for it. These are DIY'able, but tough to get into if you're not already deep into DIY.

flip it as a vintage rarity - do NOT mid it before you sell it

then pick up an electric mistress for cheap with the cash

Or find someone to build you a custom cable...shouldn't be a problem since you goth the schematic.

My father has an H+H Valve Sound Musician.....and has severla of the link together pedals including the Clockwork Concubine!!

I'd be careful modding it.....the amp feeds the pedal....one of the outputs n the amp I seemt o remember is 48 volts....the other 16volts I think...... The lower voltage I believe was for the Valve Sound only switch....the higher voltage for the other 2 or 3 pedals that can be linked together to form your own 'pedalboard'!!

It might well be better firing it off to 'the bay' and making some money on it....
