Sick Board, man. What's the little silver one and the one with the Alien Monster on it?

Thanks man, The silver one is just a switch, it allows me to turn two or more effects on at the same time with one switch, I also bypasses the entire effects chain when it is off.
The purple with anatomically correct alien is a Fuzzrocious Grey Stache custom build.

Congratulations! Very nice pedalboard. I'm in the same boat (just got started into the world of bass effects) and hope to have mine completed by the end of the year.

Very nice. Any reason you're not running the fuzz/OD in the GR2's loop?

No reason, I like the way it sounds before the effect, one day I might set it up differently.

There is only "done for the moment" when it comes to effects boards.

I agree, the loop is nice to have, but fuzz sounds great placed before filter.

and your not done, there's still space for one more pedal. A PWNZOR would fit nicely next to the Proton and round out your 3Leaf collection .

You are right! I forgot I wanted to get an FEA Opti-FET compressor but they are out of stock and it is expen$ive.

A board with an FEA pedal, just isn't a complete board.

I think you've missed the point - the loop on the GR2 is before all of the filter circuitry. It just allows your clean signal to trigger the envelope so you can get more responsive tracking while keeping the classic fuzz->filter and other similar combinations.

It probably sounds great in the loop, but right now the signal chain is this:

Bass > Tuner > Looper-in > Looper effects chain out > Pork Loin > Grey Stache > GR2 > Proton > Bass Micro-Synth > Looper effects chain in > Amp.

This way I can have the Pork Loin or the Fuzz before any of the other effects and can trigger them at the same time. If I put it in the GR2 loop I am not sure it would work like that.

With the GR2 in buffered bypass mode nothing would change aside from how the filter responds to playing. In true bypass mode with the GR2 off everything in the loop is off too, but the buffered bypass is so good that it's hardly worth worrying about (especially with your true bypass loop around the whole lot).

It's certainly not a big deal, but I'm just pointing out the reason Spencer designed it that way.

But a dirty signal will slam the envelope and force it to open faster then a clean signal would.

The GR's are great for giving us the versatility to choose which works best for whatever tone we are chasing.

Thanks for the input on the GR2, yes I thought of trying both ways, for now this is working, if I get to the point where I am not happy with it or want a change I will re-route. I had no idea putting together a quality board would take this much time(and money) but it was fun. Now, many deep-Bootsy tones will be available to me, as he is my favorite player of all time(see avatar) I am happy!
