A buddy of mine just turned me onto them recently (I love this type of stuff, should've discovered it sooner) and I've really been diggin' their bass players fuzz tone. I was wondering if there are any fans here who would know what he used?

Well, the bass wasn't really audible, or at least distinguishable from the guitar in that clip. My guess would be an NYC Big Muff, but I could very well be wrong.

The riff at 0:23 is bass by itself

Anyone else thought of the top gear test track when you read the thread title?

Definitely sounds like a muff to my ears. Hard to tell though because the sound quality has taken two major hits. First from the digital camera, and then from Youtube's quality downgrade to make the clip stream-able.
