I have read all the posts about the HAO Rust Ride, the consensus seems to be that it kills the low end. My question is, has anyone tried this pedal with flatwounds? I am looking for an aggressive sounding overdrive without any fizziness or fuzz, which because I play flats, is sometimes difficult to achieve. Almost every overdrive/distortion pedal I try ends up sounding too smooth. I know I could go back to playing roundwounds but I really like the feel and sound of the flats.
Any thoughts? Clips? |
