Hardware/Software for bass lines?

Sign in to disble this ad
What is the best way to take a song (mp3) and be able to slow it down, drop certain frequencies out to isolate the bass, etc. to make it easier to tab out and to get the rhythm? My instructor has something that he uses, but I didn't ask him what its called. What can I use for this and/or what software will do it? Also, are there any that record that I can input into my pc so others can hear a bassline?

You could try Audacity.
