Harmony G

I just purchased a Vocalist Live 2 on Ebay for 205. They normally list for 299 and was on sale for 249. A friend of mine found the same type of technology only with Harmony G. It's also normally 299 and on sale at GC for 199. I know he won't be able to get a Vocalist Live 2 for that price and was wondering if the Harmony G was comparable to the Vocalist Live 2?
