Hartke Bass Attack - OH MY !

Sign in to disble this ad
just got this thing, what great sounds! I just heard exactly what my ears/brain remember to be my old 70's Ampeg V4B slightly overdriven. Tubes vs. emulation - doesn't matter to me now - I'd never be able to tell the difference.

Don't know if it's the most versatile preamp out there, haven't found a good clean slap tone, but everything else sounds great.

Anyone else enjoy one of these?

Mark

I have and use a VXL Bass Attack as part of my regular chain (just the VXL, a compressor, and a chorus) and I use it as my DI for all my own recording. I like the sound, and my band mates and collaborators like it too. It was certainly a lot cheaper than many other options.

It's good enough for my needs - and budget.

YMMV
