Has anyone got a Supercollider Oscillating Beast yet?! (mine finally arrived!)

Because if you do, I'm not happy! I pre-ordered the first one of these in September and I'm still waiting for it. It was due to be shipped in November and I've not had any replies to any emails sent just before Christmas...

Hopefully Mark is just busy over Christmas and hasn't read my email yet! I don't want to think of the alternative explanations right now... I feel like OptimusPrime waiting for his #@%*ing Bluebeard!

What exactly does the oscilation control?
Does the gain level oscilate??
Looks cool though.

Give it another 6 months, then you'll know how I felt.

I pre ordered mine as well and still don't have it. I was told around early december for delivery so I'm not to worried, I've also heard that Mark just makes these pedals in his spare time so he might not work as fast as others. Either way the SCB will be worth the wait.

I would be pissed, I've wanted a Supercollider since I decided that I wasn't going to keep my Bluebeard.

I don't get it. It's not hard to take 30 minutes out of your day and answer emails about a product you're selling.

It takes me an hour to check my emails, and I'm not in business for myself.

He's a part-time builder, and his pedal has taken off like wildfire. If he's short on time, should he build pedals or answer emails asking when the pedal will be ready? This is a Mom & Pop operation (smaller than that actually - one person doing everything, I believe, plus holding down a full time job) which everyone should realize beforehand. Maybe he will expand his operation but with this economy, maybe not. Just be patient, the pedal is worth the wait. I haven't heard anyone complaining that they paid, and never got a pedal in the end. It's about half the price it should be/could be, IMO, and it sounds fantastic. I use it on guitar and nothing I've tried (yet) can move it off my board.

You can always cancel your order, and somebody else will get their pedal sooner.

I guess that makes me sound like a jerk, but he's not Electro-Harmonix -- he's not even ZVEX. It's just one person and he's swamped.

Would you use that same argument for Sonny?

i dont think its quite the same yet.
Mark is only a week or so behind schedule.
also sonny never replies to emails.
i think although it may be frustrating waiting for small builders to get back to you Mark is not in sonny's league just yet IMO
guess we will see though.....

I was just joking. This guy seems to be legit. Sonny's just an *******. With Christmas, and the fact that he's releasing a new pedal, I'm sure he's just busy as hell.

yeah cool.
i'm in the process of buying a bluebeard, definitely not from sonny though. after what you went through i wouldn't ever buy a pedal from him unless it was in person and i could have the pedal in my hand as soon as i handed over the money.

That's it, as soon as the Buy It Now button comes up on the Supercollider MySpace, I'm buying one. Anyone want to offer to give me the heads up if I happen to miss it?

His last login on MySpace was 16/02/08. Hopefully that means he's too busy building pedals to go on the computer!

I didn't want to start a thread bashing the guy, as you say I'm sure it's just the time of year and everything. I just wanted to find out if anyone else had ordered and received one already and I was missing out on the party!

Look what turned up in the mail today...

Still no email from Mark, but the pedal was a nice surprise! Will be trying it out tonight!
