Have You Ever bass tone?

Sign in to disble this ad
My ideal overdriven bass tone is Dirk Lance's from Incubus on the track Have You Ever off of Morning View. He uses two Eden rigs, one clean and one dirty. I want to buy and overdrive pedal, ideally one that can give me that tone. Unfortunately, there are no videos of it on youtube during the Dirk Lance era. Any suggestions?

I think a lot of it has to do with his streamer II's and a lot of compression.

Any overdrive ideas though, I know he uses a Big Muff on Calgone, but that is definetly overdrive. I know he uses SSII's, but any overdrive pedal suggestions to match that tone?

I agree. A Colorsound Tonebender Fuzz wouldn't hurt though

That is a fuzz pedal, I am looking for an overdrive pedal that would come close to the dirty Eden amp Dirk has. Just listen to Have You Ever and you will see what I mean. It isnt fuzz, its overdrive.

He used a Tech21 PSA as well, so try to go the Sansamp route
