No mods or anything they come from the factory with the holes.
All you have to do is drill some smaller holes for the brackets
Obviously you buy your own Voodoo Labs power supply
But yay, the PT Jr and PT2 have the holes, the PT Pro has a big slat and has done for a while so all you buy is the mounting brackets for your recently purchased ones, or email PT and they'll send you them but am digging these more than ever now.

I have the old version and I've been meaning to mod it, but I haven't done it because the last times I drilled or cut holes that large in sheet metal, I did some ugly damage to both the subjects and my knuckles. Might be worth it to me to just buy the precut version. |

I don't suppose you have any idea of how long since they've added this redesign?
I don't want to order one and get old stock.
EDIT: Also, I don't yet own a PP2+ but this looks like it blocks access of the standard AC outlet to wall warts, something I was anticipating having to use to power my POG because of the voltage requirements, can anyone verify this for me?

| | | | Interesting... I just got my new pedaltrain PT-2 two weeks ago from musician's friend and it did not have holes drilled in it. Probably because they still had all their stock of the older style.
What I ended up doing is getting the t-rex fuel tank and it fits perfectly under the PT-2. The only thin i did was shim it a little on one side with velcro to provide easier plug ins for the 9v cables.
I will post pics later this afternoon when I get home and take some photos. |

anyway .. does anyone has any solution what if 8 power is not enough for you on a PT-2? putting 2 Voodoos would be too huge .. how do you resolve it?
say you have 10-11 pedals instead of 8 that needs to be powered in a PT-2 |

Aaaah.
Cool.
Wait... the Jr. has them too???
Could I actually get a PP2+ under there now, or do I still have to deal with the bars?

I'm buying an expensive pedal board to keep the mess to a minimum. The stock outlet holes are a great idea, just not executed in an ideal way.
I'm certain they can figure out a way to align the holes so that adaptors can utilize that AC outlet. Quote:

I'm curious to see what kind of solutions for that outlet people will come up with.

All I can think of offhand are the ones that make your christmas lights blink, but that probably be worse than no outlet.
I gues one could always file away at it for a bit, there's already an opening started. |

I don't want to but old stock.

I don't want to but old stock. | No ones seen them in the US yet but they have been bought in like Australia and some places in Europe, wait a week or so they should be in stores soon I presume most stores are waiting till they run out of current stock
I just bought another old pt jr because the older ones sound better

a) customer service is terrible.
b) they are not able to verify if they've received new stock of revised design.
c) earliest receipt of stock from pedaltrain will be December 3. It could not be confirmed whether that new stock will indeed have revised design. Quote:

EDIT: How much work is involved in adapting the old version to meet the new version's design? Just two holes for access to pedals? Anything else?

I have no need to upgrade to a newer one (i've made it work with the Voodoo PP2 on my board) but it's cool they that do have these. Cool for future reference, if I ever go back up to a Pro or something. |

I just got an email back from Pedaltrain this morning and I'm assuming it's appropriate to post here, mods lemme know if I'm violating any rules by posting a private email reply... Quote:
Hi Justin,
Thanks for your message and interest in the Pedaltrain.
I have to say that we have been overwhelmed the past few days with requests for the new models with the Voodoo capable mod. We were a little confused as to how there were so many folks who were saying they had seen them on the internet. We have not released the new models yet and we have not posted any pictures.
It turns out that there are several folks who have posted pics on the Gearpage of their current stock pedaltrains that have been modded by folks other than us, and that has given the impression that our new models have been released.
I am confident we will have the new models available through dealers by Christmas time and we hope to make the official announcement with a release date soon.
Best regards,
John Chandler
| So, pics aren't of new pedaltrain, but there is a revised version with shared characteristics due out within the next month according to Pedaltrain.

Hi Justin,
The new models are un-officially available now on a special order basis only from any of our dealers.
We will officially launch them January 1st.
Best regards,
John Chandler
| Who's got access to an authorized dealer to get a preview?
