Gotta love those new(ish) boutique overdrive/distortion/fuzz bass pedals that are coming in!

Anyone tried the El Oso?

This and B3K are fueling my GAS it's unbelievable..

That pedal sounds really good. It almost sounds like it can go from distortion into fuzz territory. I'm adding it to my list of "potentials".

No problem! Just stumbled upon the link myself.
Yes it goes from distortion to fuzz, and the blend (mix) knob looks very useful. And it's about $150 I think.

They are made in Minneapolis, and a couple stores have it. All I can say is...oh yeah. I loved playing with it.

That video does NOT do it justice.

It heavily distorts, but doesn't get into the fuzz territory to my ears. I mean that in a positive way too, there is a sea of "good" fuzzes to choose from. It sounds like a tube amp pushed to the limit and about to explode. What seals the deal is the clean blend. Vital as heck. I cranked the distort knob and set the clean to where I could just barely make out what I was doing, works well with chords. Made the run of the mill Fender Jazz bass sound demonic. Of course, the slightly overdriven, "adding whiskers to your tone," sounds were easily available.

For $150...ahh...sweetness.
