Exclamation Help with BOSS GT-10B!!!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi i'm having issues trying to link my other external pedals (Boss Bass Overdrive and Digitech Synth Wah) to my Boss GT-10b. I've put the pedals to the send and return in the back of the GT-10b but i don't get any sound what so ever! Please help as i wish to use my own OD and Distortion since i'm rather picky and can't get those sounds from the GT-10b.

Many thanks!

You have to activate the send/return for each effect as part of the patch setting (or set it global im guessing would also work)

I never use the s/r but I remember that from the manual

lol, I know where it is. Im suggesting that it may be on the wrong channel (A or B) and its effectively muted.

Yup, basic Troubleshooting 101: Check the total signal path.
S/R unit is on?
S/R is in the proper channel, ie the one being used?
Patch cables are good? In the proper jacks? (ie you're not plugging the pedal input into the Return jack)
Pedals are properly set, and are receiving power?

i always used noise gates and suppressors last in the chain, but whatever works for you. i'll tell you another thing...i hate effects loops. i think they all suck and i avoid them at all costs, especially with distortion and stuff like the synth wah. take that as you will. i know some do use them, but all i ever heard them do is ruin my pedals.
