Help With Effects And Wireless please

Sign in to disble this ad
So here is my rig atm and this is what I'm trying to achieve.

I want to keep the Wireless unit(s) with the rack/head and Have my pedals on the floor for when i have a gig that needs them with out having to rewire this and that. Does that make sense?

Then no. It's impossible to keep your rig exactly the same and do something different.

You could take your pedals out of your signal chain, put them on the floor and connect your wireless directly to your head, but of course your pedals wouldn't actually do anything and rewiring would still be involved.

Or you rack all your effect and use an expensive remote switching system.

Seriously, there's nothing wrong with running a couple of cables back and forth cable. There's even multiway loom cable made especially for this purpose, they can carry power too:

But seeing how I'm about to order a pedal snake an effex loop makes sense to me. Make sense?

It requires rewiring, but this is what I do:

I have my wireless receiver on my pedalboard. So the signal goes like this: Bass--> wireless transmitter --> air --> wireless receiver (on pedal board)--> effects --> amp.

I have my receiver under another layer of effects and have two holes in the shelf for the wireless receiver antenna. It eliminates the need for a wire to go back AND forth.

It's unconventional, but it works for me.
