Help Finding a Certain "Sound"

First off, I know this is the most noob type thread one can make, but I really have done extensive research on it to try and find the answer. (Guitargeek, AP, Wikipedia, artist interviews).

I'm currently using a Zoom 506II multi effect pedal, but I have money to spend on new pedals, if I can't recreate the effect with the Zoom.

The sound I'm trying to recreate is that of Norma Jean.

The sound can be heard very clearly 45 seconds into "The End of All Things will be Televised".

Any help you can give me is much appreciated.

That's a distortion. You can find more by reading up on distortions here, but the ones it most immediately reminds me of are the MXR Blowtorch and the GK Diesel Dawg.

bongomania pretty much hit it on the head.

I'm looking at some distortion and overdrive pedals now, and they sound really similar.
