Help with fuzz/od sound?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello everyone, I'm looking for a specific sound (or as close as I can get).
I recorded this track using logic and one of their plugins, can't remember which one as it was a friends set-up. I used mostly dry signal with some wet (distortion or fuzz, still don't fully understand the difference!) blended in at low volume.
You can listen to the track ''The Glitch'' here, http://www.myspace.com/zealotsmusic and that sound kicks in at 3mins 15sec.
It sounds quite compressed on myspace but hopefully you can get the idea.
I've been trawling through the effects forum and soundclips but if anything I'm even more confused now!
Like the look of some of the ElectroniX gear, geminidrive maybe?
Also I cant really afford a blend pedal aswell so I'd something with a clean blend.

I use a 4 string MM Stingray through a DHA VT1 std. which is always on clean with a bit of grit going to a solid state SWR head into a 4x10 cab, sometimes a 15 aswell if needed.

Thanks very much for any help you can give
