Right. Back in the old days, when bass compressors were made of ruins forged in lava (2007) bass compression was very limited and expensive - Demeter, EBS, Maxon, and a few others ruled the roost. Nowadays more companies have seen the benefits compression can bring bass and have produced quality compressors by the bushels. The EBS isn't bad, per say
, but there are much better options out now than there were in years past.
To quote bongo, "we're living in the golden age of bass compression."
Also, I less than three my MXR M87, but if I had to get another I'd go with FEA or Diamond.
