Pedaltrain's are solid, wicked awesome boards.

10-11 you say? Check out PT-2 or PT-Pro. Good luck.

Depends on the pedals. Some are tiny, some are massive. Some have jacks in inconvenient locations, or are oddly-shaped, or have bulky power plugs.

Um, you have done the logical thing and looked at pictures of each board, right? The Pedaltrain website has shots of each size with pedals on them. The post your pedalboard threads here have pictures. If you type "pedaltrain" into GIS you get results. Don't you think that would be better than asking us to guess what size pedals you have and recommend something based on that?

+1. Exactly what I was thinking while reading the post. What pedals are you planning on having?

I use a PT 2 and once you start to put anything bigger than boss / mxr type pedals on, your space gets chewed up really quick. Also as mentioned, jacks can really stuff you up, especially if you don't have 'L' type connectors handy.

My PT2 has my main pedals on board and then I have Whammy, Deep Impact, RC20XL etc sitting around the board. The PT Pro is quite large though and becomes a bit of a heavy, cumbersome thing when loaded up. Rather than getting a pro, im looking at a second PT2.

At the moment its down to 7 as there is a memory man hazarai and a Green Big Muff on there. Its full.

EDIT: There is also a bit of muff hanging over the side as well.
I just swap some pedals out from time to time or run large patch cables off the board and into effects around the board. The PT 2 isn't big enough for me any more, but like I said, im just looking at a 2nd PT2 rather than a pro.

i was just hoping they would all fit

and heres a quick question for all the bass whammy owners out there......what are the dimensions for the bass whammy

I use a regular whammy... and a Tonebender. Also, now I think about it, I also have a BR2 and a BF2... I could make a JC board

With the Whammy and Tonebender on board, your not gonna fit the GT2, BF2, BR2, GuyatoneTrem, CE-5 etc... No way in the world... Then there is power, tuner etc... You need a pro my friend

Not even on the PT-PRO? it looks pretty huge or would it be just wiser to build a custom one from the hardware store?

Wait up My memory isn't that good apparently...

Chronicle isn't using a Pro.. He uses something else:

Perhaps ask him what it is. Im 99% sure a pro would do it for you though.

i was looking in the old posts and i seen he did use a pro at one point.but this looks more nicer to my eye.actually looks like a pedal pad.......or maybe not

would a voodoo PP2+ be able to power a JC style board or would i need a couple sockets?

Not 100% sure on that one. I don't have experience with the PP2. I think the Whammy might give you issues though. I know my Whammy 4 requires AC as opposed to DC power. Im not sure if a PP2 supplies AC.

For the rest of the pedals, you need to calculate your draw in ma. Just making an assumption here, I think the PP2 would power the rest ma wise, you just need to be sure you have enough outlets on it for the rest of the pedals. Id wait for someone else to give you a better answer. Like I said, never used a PP2 or looked into one before.

I just use a couple of 1 spot type adaptors and my Whammy has its own power source

So i found the answer but i going to have to have two seperate power supplies A PP2+ and a PPAC. i dont think it would be worth it for just one pedal but im know im going to be adding more in the future so maybe it would be worth it...

Not too many pedals run AC that I can think of. Some do, but most just run good old DC. Also, chances are the Whammy will come with an AC adaptor.

yeah the one im bidding on comes with one but the only thing i wouldnt like about it is a power bar would take up too much space on the board.maybe i could mount it under the board if there is enough space
