help me choose a tube preamp around 700$

Hi guys, my main bass is a 93' EBMM SR5. My current setup is Bass->Ampeg SVT3 head->Ampeg 4x10 HLF classic cab

I need a rack tubw preamp which has onboard overdrive.

Any sugestions?

In what way should it differ from the preamp in the SVT3 (which has tubes and overdrive)?

Will you use it together with the SVT?
