Help me do better than the Digitech BSW.

Hi Everybody!
Can someone please recommend me a better synth pedal than the BSW? But first let me elaborate...
I am in love with getting that super fat open Envelope sound like in the beginning of Tom Sawyer. The BSW gets that effect perfectly, but that is the ONLY thing I use that pedal for. I hate having that crappy pedal on my board but I don't know of anything else its size, which is paramount, that'll do that effect. It would be AWESOME if said pedal I'm searching for actually did EVEN MORE than that one stupid sound!!!

Anyways thanks in advance my friends...Cheers!

There's a bunch of threads on synths of course but as for the size issue only the Behringer or the bosses will be the same size as the BSW.

I think they should tweak some of the issues with this guy and release a hardware version. It would be really awesome to see one of these with a few more usable settings.

the only other small format synth pedal aside from the BSY600, SYB5, or BSW is the Ibanez SB7- but that really only has one sound in it too. I wish I had another suggestion for you. When you say "even more" than that one sound are you referring to presets or just something more versatile? If it's the latter I'd probably say the boss/behringer is more versatile because of expression capabilities but it doesn't track wonderfully, if your familiar playing with synth pedals you'll be fine.... but I find the BSW to play just about anything i throw at it opposed to the behringer/boss which takes some concentration.

I tell you...i bought the Bass Synth Wah because I wanted the Tom Sawyer effect as we were playing it in my band at the time. And, I thought that was all the use I was going to get out of it, but now over a year later, I use it on about 6 different songs (covers) with different settings. Its really quite flexible, from the funky envelope to the talk effect and even octaver, its a great bang for the buck.

There is always the EH bass micro synth but its bigger and much more expensive.

You could hold your breath and wait until the Iron Ether synth pedal comes out. Check out the bottom right sound sample: Xerograph - Iron Ether
