Ok guys, here's the story. I want to make a Colorsound Tonebender 3 knob. I've built circuits before, this particular circuit doesn't look very difficult. But I do want to make 1 major change. I want to house the guts of the pedal in either a wah or volume pedal case, and have the foot pedal control the 'Fuzz' knob. So what I'm looking for is this.
A wah or volume pedal
Active (I'd like to have something with a battery box already installed, as well as a stereo input jack, to run the battery)
The pedal controls a potentiometer, not something optical
The On/Off switch is on the side, not under the pedal
A somewhat thick base, to be able to house the circuit
Relatively cheap, since I'm just going to gut it anyway
Right now, I'm leaning towards a used Morley PBA-2 Dual Bass Wah, as it seems to have most of the feaures I'm looking for, but I'm just not sure if the base is big enough. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Not sure you're gonna find anything like what you're looking for. There's a Fender Fuzz/Wah pedal, as well as the Snarling Dogs Bootzilla bass wah/fuzz. Neither of which are cheap. If you don't mind how it looks, the Ibanez Tone-Lok Weeping Demon wah pedal might be what you are looking for. A bit expensive to tear apart though. |

What about using just any ol' wah or volume and having a little breakout box with the on-off switch. Could be a tiny box. Probably no good if you're not permanently installing on a pedalboard due to the fact you'd have to run a cable of some sort out to the box (durability might well be an issue), but then you could just use a used crybaby or even a behringer wah housing.

Steve | I'm not really a 'pedalboard' kinda guy. This will be my only pedal, so I'm not too worried about the size. Quote:
