Help Me Finish My Synth Board

Sign in to disble this ad
So I've just recently constructed a 2-board setup with a PT-2 and a PT-Jr but I've still got some space left and I'm wondering how I should go about filling it out to get some more unique sounds out of it. Here's the layout.

Board 1

MXR Bass Octave Deluxe ->
Boss GEB-7 (to boost lows from BOD) ->
Boss LS-2 ->
Copilot Orbit ->
MXR BlowTorch ->
Chunk Systems Brown Dog ->
EHX Bass MicroSynth ->
Digitech Bass Synth Wah ->
EHX Enigma ->
Moog MF-101

Board 2

Boss LS-2 ->
MI Audio Blue Boy Deluxe ->
Electronix Gemini Drive ->
MI Audio GI Fuzz ->
DOD FX25 ->
Maxon AF-9 ->
Boss CE-5 ->
Source Audio Tri-Mod Phaser ->
Seymour Duncan Shape Shifter ->
Boss LMB-3

I still have plenty of room here. I have a straight 10.3 inches on board 1, 6.8 on the second row of board 2, and 4.4 on the first row of board 2. I could probably have made due with two PT-Jr's, but I already had a PT-2 so here we are.

I'm thinking I should probably get the Line 6 FM-4 for starters. That would fill my 10.3 inch gap very nicely.

I'm also thinking about a micro POG just so I have another octaver base to work from that sounds totally different.

I'm thinking about the Heliotrope and MI Audio Polyanna as well.

I'm also thinking about Mario's (Robot Factory) Pulse Synth but can't seem to find too much info on it or any bass clips.

I could also add more filters like the Subdecay Prometheus (unimpressed though) and the WMD Fatman (owned one before, didn't dig it too much, but I'd be using it for MUCH different things now).

Any thoughts here?

Ditch the FM-4 idea and keep your eye out for a Korg G5. If you find one you'll be glad you did...

Instead of the Micro POG, get a PitchFactor. You'll get polyphonic tracking as well as be able to do whammy bends or any number of other wacky things with an expression pedal.
