Hello everybody,

Im curious about what kind of effects are needed to create this sound.

Is this more synth or distortion?

Seems like it was recorded with a synthesizer to me. Some distortions might get close to that sound.

groetjes / greetz

My Granny Puker might get reasonably close if I make sure the octave down isn't really present. Some other distortions or overdrives will be able to get close too.

Just one hint: Palm muting

That hollowness reminds me of a ring modulator or a sample rate reducer, with very subtle settings. Probably filtering the results to get rid of the high end.
