Help me identify pedals of The Chariot.

Sign in to disble this ad
Alright, so I love The Chariot and happened to stumble across this picture. From what I can see it is:
bass > tuner > super shifter > super overdrive > boss???

I'm almost certain the last pedal at least was a Boss at sometime. Is it something discontinued or something custom?

The guitarist appears to have one as well. Notice his Rat and boost aren't even part of the chain

I'm betting heavily-modified Boss, but I don't know which one. The knob is not Boss, and the control panel the knob is on has a rough look to it.

did you take that picture?
i ask because i've heard The Chariot has a relatively high turnover rate, as apparently Josh is kind of hard to work with, so that may not be the bassist that recorded the album.
a friend of mine played at Cornerstone and got to hang with the guys in The Chariot, and found out that most of those guys were just filling in.
so we should specify which bassist you like the sound of, and try and find a shot of a pedalboard that we know to be his.

The one on the guitarist's board is definitely an ISP Decimator.

There's definately a RAT under his hand. Oh nevermind, that's the guitarist.

Rats not plugged in either....

Jon Kindler is the second and current bassist, I've seen him live and heard his recordings. Although he has used at least 3 different heads I've seen, pedals have seemed consistent.

I'm totally seeing the ISP thing as well now. I thought it was the brown octave pedal color but now realize it is actually chrome. Which also explains why it looks almost like an LCD screen on the his pedal. Just a reflection.

The one knob and chrome definitely makes me think it's the ISP decimator. I am 100% sure that's what the guitarist has.
