Cool Help me with my DIY Octaver

Sign in to disble this ad
okay so my DIY Octaver goes like this:

1. Ampeg Sub-Octave circuit
2. Dan Armstrong Green Ringer w/ blend control
3. Big Muff tone control, with flat mid ( no scoop )

heres where I need help..

what circuit should I put the tone control in?

1. The dry signal?
2. The green ringer circuit?
3. The octaver signal?

Thanks a bunch.

I would put in a 3-way toggle so you can choose which circuit is affected at will.

You'll probably need some control over the phase of your signal paths, because I had a custom Green Ringer with blend that had some phase interference problems. Largely because the GR normally passes your dry signal through in addition to the effect.

This, and then an option to effect the output signal.

I do have easy access to rotary switches, I could use one of those for the tone option.

As for the GR circuit, I might have it on a simple siwtch instead of the dry, I can alter the phase if need be, but since she is still in construct phase, I have some room to work with. I was thinking of it being parallel with the octaver, I'm going to have to see how much room my case has.

This pedal sounds rediculous. I want one.
