Help me with my pedal order

Sign in to disble this ad
What is the best order to put my pedals and gear in. I am running a PF-500 in to an Ampeg 4X10.

Pedals I have:
Boss TU-2 Tuner
BBE Sonic Maximizer
Tech 21 VT Bass
Sansamp Bass Driver DI

Line 6 G50 Wireless.

Also have a Boss EQ and a Boss Compressor....but am likely taking them off of board. If I leave on there, where should I put EQ in the chain. Probably won't put compressor back on.

Current setup chain.

G50 wireless
Tuner
Sonic Maximizer
EQ
compressor
sansamp DI
SVT4 pro.

I am switching to the PF 500 and adding VT Bass pedal, and likely subtracting EQ and compressor pedals.

Any suggestions on order of pedals, and overall setup?

If you were me, you'd get rid of the sonic maximizer. Then you'd get rid of either the sansamp or the vt bass (Keep the sans amp if you need the DI, otherwise keep the vt.)

Then do this:

wireless

tuner

EQ (you might want a foot-switchable EQ setting)

SansAmp or VT

Yea, considering dropping the sonic maximizer. I do notice a slight difference in sound, but not significant.

What are your thoughts on it?

Honestly? I don't think it's going to do anything you can't do with your VT and your EQ.
