Get it out of the effects loop (that's what it looks like in the picture). They are intended to go between your bass and the amp.

Its between the bass and the amp! i dont know how to use the effects loop anyways.

On the floor near your foot somewhat close to the amp (Id go 10ft farthest) good luck with the pedal .
