Also, what happens when you switch the fender to passive mode?

It was set at the same volume and it still did it, and if i set it to passive it still does it

Hmmm. Still, the fact one bass does it and one doesn't suggests that the bass is the issue, not the pedal. Might be worth getting a technician to look at it and check the shielding and test the pickups - might be highly microphonic and causing feedback.

Actually, does it do it with the volume on the bass turned right down to zero? Would definitely suggest a problem with the bass.

When I had my ODB-3 I had a hell of a time getting the feedback to stop at medium or high gain settings. I had to work to find a setting I liked and wouldn't cause feedback and even then I was pretty careful to ride the pedal.

Yeah it really is hell, like I'm borrowing my mates fuzz until I can get one for myself, and I don't find it doesn't give out enough (volume and tone) if you have the gain and level turned down (even though it is turned down). So I'm just gonna get my bass and the pedal serviced.
