Help with my chain effect order

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys,

I know there's a lot of threads about that, but I had trouble finding an answer about my needs.

What would be the right chain effect order with these:

EHX Bass Big Muff
MXR Bass Octave Deluxe
Tech 21 SansAmp Character Series VT Bass Deluxe
Boss Chromatic Tuner TU-3

Thank you !

This same answer has been given a million times I'm sure but...

There is no 'right' way. Try them in every order you can and settle on the combination that YOU find sounds right for the music you play. Loads of us will tell you how we'd run them, but at the end of the day, of you don't try them in all orders, you'll never know!

No right. No wrong.

There may not be a "right way", but when there is an analog octaver in the mix and you want it to track, the best way is usually to put it first (or possibly after a tuner or compressor, as the former has no impact on the signal and the latter can help improve tracking a little).

Tuner>Octave>Muff>VT or Octave>Muff>VT>Tuner. I don't know where I would put a tuner pedal. I just use the tuner send on my amp to a tuner. If I had a pedal tuner I'd probably go with option one.

Why couldn't you find an answer about your needs?

You've got 2 OD's, an octave, and a tuner...
