Help with my pedalboard....

Sign in to disble this ad
I am starting a very basic pedalboard - I have the boss TU-2 tuner, and the Digitech bass squeeze compressor. I may add somethign like a distortion/fuzz pedal, but I am not really into much more than that.

2 questions =

1. Should the compressor be the last pedal if I had OD or chorus or ovtave or anythign like that? Should all the effects run through the compressor i guess might be a better way to ask that question.

2. I have heard that putting the tuner at the front of your line can color the tone somewhat. Should I get the tuner out of the mix with an A/B box or something like that?

Or is all that unnecessary

thanks in advance!

It works either way, but differently. Try both, see what you like better. The TU-2 has never messed my tone up, I wouldn't worry unless your sound degrades.

Most people put the compressor as the first, last or second to last in their chain.

Also, if you use an EQ pedal, 99% of the time you'll want the compressor BEFORE the EQ.
