If I had those pedals I'd go Bass -> amp. But seriously, I'd put the whammy before the reverb and see if the whammy tracks better with the bass attack before or after it. The tuner can go anywhere, but you might want to put it at the end if you use it as a mute and if you have problems with it's bypass messing up the tone you've got with your other pedals. The whammy bypass may change your tone, I don't know about the hartke, and the boss can as well, but should be better.

We've had a LOT of "What order should I put my pedals in?" threads recently... and we keep saying the same basic things to everyone

You'll have to excuse sonicvi, since both he and I have been through pretty much all of them. I just have a bit more patience than he does

I have plenty of patience. I mean no offense to anyone so I keep my sarcasm and annoyance to general comments. I find it comical because in my head I imagine those who ask this question just sitting on their floor blankly staring at their pedals and scratching their head pondering the order without actually trying any combinations to see what they like. One recent one asked what order TWO pedals should go in. I mean come on. If you don't like it one way it must be the other. I know there are newbies out there who are just getting into effects and it really is a valid question if asked far too often without searching. I just find it funny.

In this case I would try tuner, whammy, distortion, reverb first.

Perhaps these kinds of questions would be asked less frequently if, instead of merely suggesting a sequence, the rationale for the sequence were also provided (i.e., give a man a fish v. teach a man to fish...).

Personally, I found Bongo's compressor FAQs very helpful because he explained how various kinds of effects can be clustered by fuction and why some sequences work better than others. He also, IMO, did a great job of explaining when to use a pedal and when to use a line-level effects loop.

A link is often as helpful as an answer:

When you say the Whammy is giving you trouble, do you mean in a tracking sense? If so, then have the Whammy closer to the start of the chain. If you put your tuner first, then put the Whammy after it. If you like the tuner at the end rather than the start, then have the whammy first.

Whammies like a strong signal running into them.
