Boss OC-2
Boss OC-3
DOD FX-32 (not really an octave pedal, but it gets some deep bass sounds)
EHX Octave Multiplexer
for starters. There's a plethora of stuff out there for these pedals, and I am sure that more people will chime in with their favorites as well. |

Your question is honestly best answered by using the search function. There many, many threads discussing and recommending sub-octave pedals and commenting on the Ashdown. Good luck! |

I've never been interested in it because I would like an octave up much more than an octave down, but I'd check it out if I were you. |

"Blah blah blah tracking yadda" whatever, it's a great pedal and worth the price just for the sub bass stuff. Come on, it's pure Bootsy to use a whammy for as an octave down 'wah'. |

That's all like harmonizing octaves though, not just a simple octave down. |

You'd be much better off with a dedicated unit just as long as it's not an oc-2.

micro pog as it is octave up and down
and the multiplexer as it is dirty |

Tracks great, built to last, simple design-- and it looks cool. I also have a Digitech Bass Synth Wah and the envelope/octaver setting on it is especially cool. That thing is like 7 pedals or 4 good ones in one-- best pedal I ever bought for the money.

Old-school, classic "dirty" monophonic analog sub-octave: Boss OC-2
Flexible monophonic analog sub-octave tones and gnarly sounds: EHX Octave Multiplexer
Digital, "clean" sub-octave and octave-up with polyphonic tracking: EHX Micro POG, or EHX POG
Great sounding monophonic analog sub-octave and octave-up: Foxrox Octron
Smooth, surprisingly "clean" and polyphonic analog sub-octave: EBS Octabass
The benefits of digital sub-octave, with synthesizer tones as well: Digitech Bass Synth Wah
So, figure out what you're looking for in a sub-octave sound, and if you might want a little extra out of your pedal (octave up, synth sounds, etc.). I'm sure one of my suggestions will do the trick beautifully.
If you have more questions, there's plenty of great threads already in this forum on each of those pedals!
