HELP! (Tonebender problem)

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi, I just got a Colorsound Tonebender and I can't work out how to get the thing open so I can put a battery in! There's no visible sign of screws and there's no kind of battery draw...

Anyone know?

Which model? The current model from the Coloursound UK website, the big grey and orange one - has small screws on the side, the entire bottom comes off.

This one doesn't seem to have any screws in it, but the bottom isn't loose at all. There are holes where the screws seem to go but there are just no screws there.

I got in it. I just stuck a flat head between the bottom and the case, then levered it so it popped out.

Now, i've stumbled into the battery problem. How do they expect you to fit a battery in that tiny gap!?

What gap? There´s a clip to stick the battery in, and that wasn´t hard at all.

It's not the most user friendly pedal to open up, but you'll like the tone :P

I'll get some pictures lol. It's not a gap, it is a clip.

I tried sticking a rechargable 9V battery in but it wouldn't fit, when i managed to force it in, it just damaged the battery, bending one of the little metal bits... I've just bent it back so I hope it still works...

Right, got it in finally. Maybe I posted this a bit rushed. :P

I don't know why there were no screws in mine though...

EDIT: I just tried this thing (I had tried it once before) and it rocks! I love that sound. I'll probably be getting a Way Huge Swollen Pickle MKII when it's out too.
