Hematoma mod?

Sign in to disble this ad
apparently, HBE changed the Hematoma recently. the change has to do with the tone. the old one rolls off lots of highs, and the new one supposedly fixes this issue.

so, modders: do you know what i'd need to do to change my old Hematoma to the new design?

thanks!

Are you talking about a more recent update than the purple to blue version?

There is also a Burr Brown chip mod available, not sure if this is the thing you're referring to.

I'm coming in for a visit soon.

The change that you're referring to was a change made to the prototype Hematoma. The guys from H.B.E. gave it to the guys from Norstrand at NAMM, and their impression was that it rolled off too much of the top end. H.B.E. then tweaked the circuit and started cranking out the production models. The only thing that has changed on the newest version is the color scheme. Hope this helps.

i was referring to that, yes. it seems the production model still rolls a fair bit of highs off.... i'll do a little more investigating, maybe try to dig up a schematic. thanks for the input, friends!

B3bop... see you soon!
