Here are some Sansamp BD and Ibanez Phat Hed sound samples

Whenever I'm in the market for a new pedal, I search YouTube, TalkBass, and Google for clips. Well I thought it would be nice to give back, and to encourge those who are bogardin' those clips. Here are links to my coverband at a charity firehouse gig.

Phat-Hed clip: I use the Sansamp all the time, so this is Phat Hed into Sansamp clip. I turn the Phat Hed off durring the chorus and use a Whammy in the "ooooo" parts.

Sansamp clip: A year or so later, with more hair. Just the Sansamp here.

Are those Peavey PR Series PA speakers? Awesome work by the way.

Usually OD setting, pretty much 12 o'clock on everything. Level knob is adjusted accordingly. I change settings alot on this thing, and to tell you the truth it doesn't make too much difference. The biggest audable difference is when you flip the switches--Overdrive, Distortion, and the attacks. I'll use Dist. when i want more highs, and I never use the Attack switches--too thin in a live sittualtion.

SABDDI is usually all 12's as well, but with the presencce at 1 or 2 and drive closer to 3 o'clock. When I'm feeling gritty, I'll use more Mix knob. I run the XLR out to the board as well as the Output to my amp.

They are Mackies. They are the powered ones. We have two-ways (used as fronts in the "white Room" video) and three ways (used as fronts in the "crossroads" video, the 2-ways were used as monitors). And, that box by the singer is a Mackie powered 15 sub. We only had one for the "White Room" gig because the other was in the shop--both were back in action for the "crossroads" gig. Those Powered 15's are great.
