hey kit builders...

I have 2 old DOD 270 A/B boxes lying around that I want to fool with, any ideas on easy circuits that will fit in these? (I already have a efx loop pedal, looking to have some experimental fun/learning with these).

If you are willing to poke at least one more hole in the box then there are a number of effects you could throw in there

check out www.generalguitargadgets.com for a number of pre printed circuit boards.

IF however you want to just throw something in there try out any of the Dan Armstrong effects as i'm pretty sure those originally came out - WITHOUT knobs.

Good luck.

you could make a clean blend pedal. You will need to drill more holes though.

Booster pedal would fit in there, again more holes needed

then some simple distortions would easily fit in there

thats a general idea anyways

the real question is what do you want to make?

+1 to all that- in fact, try out the Orange Squeezer and Green Ringer circuits on the GGG site.

Guys,

Just bought all the parts for the Green Ringer and Orange Squeezer, thanks!

Bongo, I dunno if you remember but a while back I told you I had 2 NOS Sparkle Green DOD FX25 pedals that were not working right, I ABC'd them using a multimeter and the 1 good FX25 that I got in the lot, think I narrowed down the problem, I get a different reading on 1 resistor (It seems to be the same in both bad units) than I do in the good unit & I am hoping these build experiences will give me the confidence to repair those puppies.

Awesome, good luck with that. I do find that the more I do, the more confident I am to experiment and learn through trial and error.

Quick question, where are you buying all your parts for these, I really want to build the beginner project on diystompboxes but I have no clue where to get the materials.

You can get most of the parts for the diystompboxes.com beginner project @ radioshack. Or buy from Aaron at that site, also mouser, and small bear are good resources.

my guess is that it has 3 pins, as it is a simple A/B box

the middle pole would be connected to the the common jack, then the A on one side and the B on the other

it is a very simple pedal, and doesn't require more than 3
